Overview

We partnered with Arch Productions to document the full behind-the-scenes process of creating Call of Duty’s Mega Abomination — a monstrous new character featured in the upcoming Black Ops 6 release. From early sculpting to final on-set integration, our team captured the entire six-month journey of building this creature from concept to execution. The goal was to create a cinematic documentary-style piece that showcased the craftsmanship, scale, and intensity behind one of the most iconic reveals in Call of Duty history.

Challenges & Approach

Capturing a six-month timeline across multiple locations required careful planning, consistency in visual style, and storytelling clarity. We filmed practical effects, creature fabrication, motion testing, and VFX integration as the monster came to life. Our team traveled to key production sites — including the final destination in Washington, D.C., where the Mega Abomination was officially unveiled at COD Next 2024, marking the launch of Black Ops 6. We approached the project with a balance of cinematic storytelling, precise technical coverage, and a deep respect for the game’s legacy and fanbase.

The Result

The final film delivered a cinematic and immersive look into the making of the Mega Abomination, offering fans unprecedented access to the creative process behind one of Black Ops 6’s most exciting characters. The piece built massive hype on social media, was featured at COD Next 2024, and helped elevate the launch campaign with authentic, visually striking behind-the-scenes content. It stands as a testament to our ability to tell compelling long-form stories while keeping the energy, style, and intensity true to the Call of Duty universe.
